Thiruvananthapuram: In what could spell further trouble to the party, V S Achuthanandhan has fired another salvo on Sunday against the CPM state leadership. VS has written a letter to CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechury flaying the state leadership and wanting him to be relieved from the post of opposition leader. It is also learnt that he had hinted some leaders having links with the murder of T P Chandrasekharan in the letter.
The letter also wanted to stop dissenters leaving the party and bring them back into the party fold by thrashing out idealogical and organisational issues. VS reiterated that politics of murder cannot be entertained in the party and those who leave the party have their own ideological issues. The state leadership need to be restructured, VS said.
VS has demanded in the letter to convene a meeting immediately and discuss the issues. It is learnt that VS had sent the letter a week back and the contents was leaked to the media on Sunday from Delhi. Though some channels reported about the central leadership confirming receipt of the letter, the party leadership has not confirmed the news. At the same time, the CPM party had taken a decision to discuss the issues only after the Neyyatinkara by-polls.
