Kochi: The Kerala High Court Thursday has directed the formation of a special investigation team which is to be headed by an officer in the rank of DIG to probe into the death of Indu, a research scholar at the NIT Calicut.

Justice S. Satheeshchandran issued the order on a petition by Indu’s father K. Krishnan Nair.

The body of Indu was recovered from the Periyar on April 28, 2011 a few days after she went missing from the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express train.
