Thiruvanthapuram: Minister K B Ganesh Kumar told the Assembly on Tuesday that the estates in Nelliampathi will not be given to private players. The govt will take over all estates which violated title deeds. Even a cent of govt land will not be given. The minister also added that there were no discrepancies in the land takeover.
Meanwhile, the opposition alleged in the Assembly that chief whip P C George and the govt were trying to help the encroachers.
The forest minister was replying to the notice issued by the opposition for an adjournment motion in the Assembly. It was V Chenthamarakshan who moved the notice for an adjournment motion. The opposition demanded a detailed investigation by a Assembly panel. The speaker denied permission for an adjournment motion and protesting against this the opposition walked out of the assembly.
