Paravur Sex Racket Case: Father Gets Life Term

Kochi: The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court has awarded life sentence and a fine of Rs 50,000 to Sudheer, the first accused in the Paravur sex racket case who is also the father of the minor victim.
The court also sentenced him to one year imprisonment for abetment and another six months under provisions of the juvenile justice act.
According to the prosecution the father forced his daughter to have sex with him after threatening to kill her by throwing her from the Varappuzha bridge.
The mother and brother of the victim had turned hostile during the trial. There are around 200 accused in the case and a total of 50 chargesheets
