BJP all for BSY’s state tour

Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s proposed tour to the drought-hit districts has now become a programme of the state unit of BJP.
Deputy Chief Minister and BJP state president K S Eshwarappa after holding a meeting with Yeddyurappa and party’s state organising secretary Santhosh told reporters Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar will launch the statewide tour August 21.
“The first phase of the drought-hit areas tour would from with Tumkur district on Tuesday,” he said.
He said that the state tour would be undertaken in two phases and the first leg of the visit would conclude at Chamarajanagar on August 31. Eshwarappa informed that Shettar will lead the team accompanied by Yeddyurappa, ministers and concerned legislators of the districts. Also, during the visit the leaders will also interact with the party workers. On Friday Yeddyurappa had announced his decision to undertake a statewide tour in a specially decked vehicle. He had also expressed his confidence that the party’s central leaders would endorse his decision.
