Nelliyampathy: Kerala Congress(M) toughens stance

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress(M) leaders K.M. Mani and P.J. Joseph Thursday met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and urged him not to take any action against migrant farmers in Nelliyampathy.
The party’s stance is that eviction of genuine farmers will not be allowed even when the party will oppose encroachers,
The KC(M) is a constituent of the ruling UDF.
The leaders also expressed their dissatisfaction over the visit payed by a group of Congress MLAs to the Nelliyampathy estates.
