Vilasrao Deshmukh’s condition critical, on life support

Chennai: Union Science and Technology Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was admitted to a hospital in Chennai, was in a critical condition and was on life support Tuesday, according to reports here. Deshmukh is suffering from a serious liver ailment and multiple organ failure, the reports said.
The former Maharashtra chief minister Deshmukh was Monday rushed to a private hospital here after he was brought by a special flight, sources said.
The 67-year-old senior Congress leader from Maharashtra who is ailing for sometime was brought by the special flight around 6 p.m. and immediately taken to the hospital in an ambulance, they said.
